My passion for baking started in our mother's kitchen. As a small child, I took every opportunity I could to get my hands dirty in the kitchen. This foundation and love for baking grew with me. My mother had a deep passion for people and always enjoyed passing her recipes and food onto others. She was always in the kitchen baking or cooking for someone she knew who was sick, had just had a baby, or just needed a pick-me-up. She passed that passion on to me. I miss my mother dearly, and I know she would be so proud to see what we have created.

Since bringing my baked goods to the farmers market, so many of my friends, family, and clients insisted I needed to open a bakery. It was something I had considered, but why make a change when things were fine the way they were? After being laid off from my job of 11 years, and despite looking for another job for 6+ months, the only thing that made sense was to fill the void in our community by opening Gualtieri's Bakery, with the amazing support of my friends and family!
